Document granting Samuel Day, “late a private in Churchills Corps of Artillery,” parcel number 12774 consisting of one hundred-sixty acres at section thirteen, Township twelve north in Illinois. Boldly signed by James Monroe at the conclusion Countersigned by Josiah Meigs commissioner of the general land office. In very good condition, with scattered light staining, small areas of paper loss along the bisecting folds not affecting legibility of text, and soiling in places.
