A very impressive collection of thirty signed items from actors and executives from The Wizard Of Oz. Lot consists of signatures and signed photos, with a few photos having inscriptions. Highlight of the lot is a vintage signature of Scarecrow Ray Bolger, who writes “I am the Scarecrow and I have no brain!, Ray Bolger,” on a trimmed off-white card. Other signatures include lyricist E. Y. Harburg on an album page, producer Mervin LeRoy on an album page and signatures of Munchkins Lewis Croft (soldier), Betty Ann Cain Bruno (child Munchkin) and the original Wicked Witch Gale Sondergaard on individual cards. Remainder of this great group is signed photos, mostly 8 x 10 or 10 x 8 photos from the film, with several smaller postcard-size photos as well. Most are signed in felt tip, with the remainder signed in ink. Signers include Nels Nelson (Munchkin townman), Nita Krebs (Lullaby League Munchkin), Betty Tanner, Emil Kranzler (townsman), Earl Slatten, Clarence Swensen (Munchkin soldier), Mickey Carroll (Munchkin fiddler), Donna Stewart Hardaway (Child Munchkin), Caren Marsh (Judy Garland’s stand-in), Ruth Robinson Duccini, Donna Masin (Emerald City Woman), Jack Glicken (Munchkin), Fern Formica (Munchkin), Buddy Ebsen (original Tin Man), Meinhardt Rabbe (Munchkin coroner), Margaret Pellegrini, Harlkan Briggs (Charley Grapewin’s stand in), Tiny Doll, Tommy Cotton (Munchkin), Frank Cucksey (Munchkin), Lois January and a vintage 5 x 7 photo signed by uncredited script writer Sid Silvers.
