Tibbets agrees to sign a typescript of the Nuclear Test Ban Treaty, but returns the payment, asking that it be donated to the local chapter of the Salvation Army

Lot of three items, each signed by the pilot of the Enola Gay. Included: typescript of the chilling itinerary of the Enola Gay on August 6, 1945, culminating in the dropping of the bomb on Hiroshima at 0195-1/2; an ALS dated February 11, 1992 to a collector, which reads, in part: “I return your check that you might give it to the local Salvation Army. You can fill in the local chapter number above my signature to make it more correct.”; and a souvenir typescript of the Nuclear Test Ban Treaty, signed by Tibbets in blue ink. The typescript also bears the facsimile signatures of John F. Kennedy, Dean Rusk, etc. In fine condition, with scattered light creasing to the August 6 itinerary and a crease to the upper left of the ALS. R&R COA.
