Oberlin to the position of “Captain in the Navy.” Signed at the conclusion in black ink “Calvin Coolidge,” and countersigned by the acting Secretary of the Navy. Document bears a very attractive vignette of Poseidon in his chariot on the high seas. In very fine condition, with a light overall shade of toning and some trivial edge wear.
