DS, four pages, 8.5 x 14, February 4, 1952. Agreement to form a corporation between Ruby and Hyman Fader to form the Ranch House Corporation. Document states Ruby “will acquire all the furniture, fixtures, equipment, inventory, good will and use of the present name of Bob Wills Ranch House…the First Party and Second Party have agreed to create, or cause to be created, a corporation to engage in the night club and restaurant business.” Signed on the third page in black ink by Ruby, who has also initialed the document twice. In 1952, Ruby borrowed $3,700 from a friend, Ralph Paul, to purchase the Bob Wills Ranch House with Martin Gimpel, a former associate in the Spartan Novelty Co. The Ranch House was run as a western-type nightclub. With two establishments to run, Ruby experienced substantial financial reversals in 1952. He soon abandoned his interest in the Ranch House. In fine condition, with expected folds, light toning and agreement still stapled into its original legal folder. R&R COA.
