Description

DS as president, one page, 17 x 14, August 17, 1886. President Cleveland appoints Augustus C. Golding to the position of Postmaster of Norwalk, Connecticut. Boldly signed at the conclusion in black ink by Cleveland and countersigned by Postmaster General William F. Vilas. In fine condition, with previous storage folds, light stamp over portion of Cleveland’s signature, a bit of mild toning and intact gold seal and ribbon. R&R COA.
