From the estate of director Norman Taurog, original artwork for Skippy, the film for which he won the Best Director Academy Award

Original artwork for the Academy Award winning 1931 film Skippy, tempera on wood, 31 x 31, in green, yellow and red, reads “Jackie Cooper in Skippy directed by Norman Taurog” with the Paramount Pictures logo in the upper right corner. The image depicts young Jackie Cooper with chin in hand. Framed in red wood to an overall size of 35 x 35. In this film based on the popular comic strip, Skippy interrupts his usual routine of finding loopholes in his parents' rules when he makes friends with Sooky, a boy from the other side of the tracks. This piece was either lobby artwork or possibly poster art produced for the film. From the estate of Norman Taurog. In fine condition, with expected age and handling wear.R&R COA. Oversized.
