Great lot of nine signed items includes: two commemorative covers, one honoring the Farnborough Air Show, the other honoring Whittle; two ALSs, one dated 1982, the other 1989; a 3.5 x 2 signature and return address cut from a manila envelope; a souvenir typescript of the “Phone call from Whyte askng for an account of events,” on April 12, 1937, which reads, in part: “Phone call Bramson describing first start up under own steam. Congratulatory wire from Sir Maurice, Whyte & Bramson”; a check payable to Whittle for $10.00, dated Jan. 30, 1984 and endorsed on the reverse; a photocopy of the handwritten transcript detailing the events of April 12, 1937, hand-titled and signed “An historic page from the Diary of Flight Lieutenant F. Whittle, F. Whittle”; and a handwritten envelope from Whittle. R&R COA.
