Financier and politician; signer of the Declaration of Independence, and founder of the Bank of North America in 1782. DS, signed on the reverse, “Robt. Morris,” one page, 6.5 x 4, November 23, 1794. Promissory note “to pay Robert Morris on Order, Two thousand and five hundred dollars for value received.” Boldly signed on the reverse in ink by Morris.
