Description

A Dempsey K. O. you won’t see in any record books, as he gets knocked out by George Siegmann, an original Musketeer, and his co–star in the 1925 film, Manhattan Madness

Vintage matte-finish 10.5 x 13.5 softly–focused photo of Dempsey in a tuxedo and hat, signed and inscribed in fountain pen “To my friend George Siegmann, The fellow that K. O. Me, Good luck, Jack Dempsey April 10/25.” Dempsey and George Siegmann appeared together in the 1925 silent film, Manhattan Madness. Siegmann’s great–grandson states that his great-grandfather George Siegmann did KO him during filming of the Hollywood Hotel. Jack told George not to worry about pulling a punch during filming so he didn't pull the punch and Jack went down on the staircase. Lightly trimmed edges, a couple slight corner tip creases and a bit of mild silvering, mostly to edges, otherwise fine condition. Steve Grad PSA/DNA and R&R COA.
