In full, “I had a number of fine memories in my 16 year's in the Majors 11 with Cleveland, and 5 with the New York Yankees. One of my great memories was on a Sunday in Yankee Stadium we had about 70,000 people in the stands, we were playing the Philadelphia Athletics, and Lefty Groves (sic) was in his prime. I went to bat 5 times that day, got 5 hits the last one a home run and helped win the game. When I crossed the plate, Babe Ruth--they [the team] all came out to see after I hit a home run shook my hand and said, 'you picked me up today kid', [as] he did not hit a home run that day.” In fine condition.
