Scarce signature of the “Babe Ruth” of hockey

Hockey legend, referred to as the Babe Ruth of the NHL. Morenz's career was cut short when he suffered a broken leg in a home game against the Black Hawks on January 28, 1937. It was generally agreed that the injury would end his career. A few weeks later, on March 8, the hockey world was stunned by the news of Morenz's death, brought on by complications related to his injury. Morenz was one of the first to be elected to the Hockey Hall of Fame when it was established in 1945. Ink signature, “Howie Morenz,” on an off-white card. Double matted and framed with three photos of Morenz in uniform and a career stat sheet, to an overall size of 22.25 x 28. In fine condition. COA Steve Grad/PSA/DNA and R&R COA. Oversized.
