President Harding appoints a Member of the Commission to Peru

DS as president, one page, 9.75 x 14, July 1, 1921. Harding appoints Major General Hunter Liggett a Member of the Commission to represent the United States at the centennial of independence of Peru. In part: “…During the month of July, 1921, with all the privileges…In testimony whereof, I have caused the Seal of the United States to be hereunto affixed.” Boldly signed at the conclusion and countersigned by Charles E. Hughes, Secretary of State. The seal is intact. In very good condition, with punch holes to left edge, trimmed right edge, vertical fold through letter of Harding’s signature, scattered toning, a few areas of trivial soiling. R&R COA.
