Lot of two signed items includes: a TLS on his personal stationery, dated September 14, 1934, politely declining an invitation to speak; and, a glossy 8 x 10 full-length photo of Tunney in the ring, signed and inscribed “For Bill Clarke, with best wishes, Gene Tunney, July 12th, ‘73.” In overall fine condition, with a horizontal mailing fold touching one letter of the signature.
