The Gray Ghost recounts his time in the Indian territory: “ I spent a good deal of last summer in Oklahoma & the Indian Territory - There was a harvest to be reaped down there,” and goes on to announce that “President [Theodore Roosevelt] will be here tomorrow”

ALS, four pages on two adjoining sheets, 5 x 8, Department of Justice letterhead, September 29, 1905. Exceptional handwritten letter with outstanding content mentioning time spent in Indian territory. In part, “I spent a good deal of last summer in Oklahoma & the Indian Territory - There was a harvest to be reaped down there…I have never been anywhere on this globe where I have found friends to who I have become more attached than I did to some in Alabama.” He also mentions president Theodore Roosevelt: “The President will be here tomorrow morning.” Remainder of the letter deals with the enrollment and education of a family friend, who Mosby helped get into school. In very good condition with the letter very boldly penned, light overall toning, moderate ink show through to the pages and a strong signature. COA John Reznikoff/PSA/DNA and R&R COA.
