Stoker introduces a friend to famed sculptor, Augustus St. Gaudens, “You will I am sure find congenial the subject of my note regarding the friend. You will I am sure even find a friend.”

Irish author of Dracula, and onetime secretary to theatrical actor Henry Irving. ALS, one page, 5 x 8, Lyceum Theatre letterhead, September 11, 1886. Stoker writes to legendary sculptor Augustus St. Gaudens from aboard a ship. In full: “Let me now introduce to you my friend E. Heron-Allen of whom I spoke. You will I am sure find congenial the subject of my note regarding the friend. You will I am sure even find a friend.” Minor edge toning, expected folds, light pencil notations between text, and skipping to the “B” in Stoker’s first name, otherwise fine condition. R&R COA.
