US pilot and WWII air hero. Lot of eight signed items includes: a thirteen-page typescript of a 1974 interview with Doolittle, signed “J.H. Doolittle” in black ink on the first page; a TLS on his personal stationery, dated April 12, 1974, granting permission to Singer Features to reprint a piece about him, signed “J.H. Doolittle” in blue ink; a handsome 8 x 9.75 portrait of Doolittle in his military uniform, signed and inscribed “To Mildred Lindors: With every good wish, J.H. Doolittle” (Mutual of Omaha promotional photo); two different commemorative covers, each signed in ink; an FDC honoring George Marshall, signed in blue ink, Japanese ten dollar note, signed in black ink; and an 8 x 5.25 aerial photo of the B-25 “North American” bomber, signed and inscribed to Bobby Colbert. In overall fine condition, with neatly trimmed edges to the photos. R&R COA.
