Marvelous vintage matte-finish 9.5 x 11.5 portrait of a the inventor seated in his library, his hands clasped in his lap, affixed to a 9.5 x 11.5 photographer’s mount (image size is 6.5 x 8.5), signed in fountain pen on the mount beneath the image. Great signature! The portrait is framed to an overall size of 10.75 x 12.5. In very good condition, with a lengthy horizontal crease with resulting small amount of surface loss through the lower portion of the image, light discoloration to the lower left and right corners of the mount, traces of silvering to the darker areas. The photograph could certainly be restored. R&R COA.
