Description

Lot of eight items. Fabric remnant from the Wellington N2980 recovered from the bottom of Loch Ness; fragment of wood from the bulkhead of the world’s only remaining Martin B-10; piece of metal skin from the B-17G “Shoo Shoo Baby;” a piece of wood from the flight deck of the U. S. S. Hornet; an original piece of aluminum from a B-24 bomber shot down over Ploesti, Romania; a remnant from Doolittle’s bomber “Ruptured Duck;” a metal remnant from Doolittle’s B-25 bomber “Whiskey Pete;” and a swatch of skin from a German Albatross D. Va fighter. Each remnant is affixed to its own color 8.5 x 11 informational sheet and housed in a 10 x 12 folder. R&R COA.
