The inventor of the thrashing machine Jedediah Turner accepts $1140.00 from Jonathan Dayton of New Jersey, thereby granting “full and exclusive right of making, using and vending to others to use the said improvement within the counties of Hamilton, Warren & Butler in the State of Ohio.” Signed at the bottom in black ink by Turner. Accompanied by an original 12.5 x 15.5 broadside for Turner’s thrashing machine. In very good condition, with expected folds and scattered toning, a bit heavier in the folds.
