Description

JFK hand-edited speech on his native New England and the economy

Ten pages of an eleven-page typed speech (missing page 7), 8.5 x 11, with notations made in Kennedy’s hand, which he gave on New England, centering around economic problems in the textile industry. Speech reads, in part, “Because I believe in the innate capabilities of the people of New England as well as those of the people of America, it holds…in my opinion safeguards against forces of economic regional disintegration important to the continued prosperity of all our nation.” Approximately a dozen corrections in ink and pencil by Kennedy. In fine condition, with staple holes to top left edges. Nice example of Kennedy’s long-term devotion to his beloved New England. COA John Reznikoff/PSA/DNA and R&R COA.
