In part, “Don’t worry what I’m going to think in your decisions - do what you think is best…I don’t think you’re all fucked up & irrational. Whatever you decide will be the right thing, I know it. So, don’t worry about my misinterpreting anything, just do what you think is best. However, I would advise you letting me in on it & trying to keep me abreast of everything.” Accompanied by the original mailing envelope, addressed in Joplin’s hand and postmarked October 8, 1965.
