TLS signed “Martin,” one page, 7 x 10.5, Ebenezer Baptist Church letterhead, May 17, 1961. Letter to Mr. Horace L. Sheffield of Detroit and reads in full, "Thank you for the material which you sent me a few days ago. We are in the process of working out a general prospectus, and as soon as that is completed, I will be contacting you concerning another meeting.” From 1960 until his death in 1968, Martin Luther King, Jr. was co-pastor with his father at Ebenezer Baptist Church and President of the Southern Christian Leadership Conference.
