Handsome vintage glossy 8 x 10 publicity photo of a young Elvis in a dark jacket and tie, signed and inscribed in black ink “Best of everything to Sarah from Elvis Presley.” Double matted and framed to an overall size of 12.75 x 16. Photo was acquired by Sarah Keeny, who was a professional musician, and while on tour in the early 1950s she stopped at a county fair in Mississippi. She watched a handsome young man performing on the flatbed of an old hay wagon. Thinking that this unique performer “might someday make it big,” she waited in line to receive his autograph. Within a year, her hunch was proven to be right. This photo was left in Keeny’s will to her friend, who loved to hear the story of how she met Elvis. In very good condition, with several noticeable creases along bottom portion, scattered light creasing elsewhere and a small area of discoloration near final stroke of Presley’s signature. COA Roger Epperson/PSA/DNA and R&R COA.
