The man behind the low woodwinds that open Citizen Kane, the shrieking violins of Psycho, and the plaintive saxophone of Taxi Driver was one of the most original and distinctive composers ever to work in film. DS, fourteen pages, 8.5 x 11, Twentieth Century Fox letterhead, March 15, 1954. Agreement between Twentieth Century Fox and Herrmann, for Herrmann to arrange and compose the music for the upcoming film entitled Garden Of Evil, with Herrmann agreeing to a salary of $15,000. Document goes on to discuss particulars including work schedule and royalties. Signed on the thirteenth page in fountain pen by Herrmann. In fine condition, with rusty staple and holes to top left corner. R&R COA.
