First prime minister of Israel. TLS in Hebrew, one page, 6 x 8, State of Israel letterhead, December 26, 1956. Letter to Zalman Aranne, Minister of Education and Culture. In part, “In these days, we are commemorating the 70th anniversary of the death of Charles Netter who founded ‘Kol Haverim,’ which opened the way for many Jewish settlers in Israel and also the founding of the first agricultural school in Israel ‘Mikve Israel,’ and that was to return Jewish agriculture in the country to what it had been in antiquity…It is important that the man and his accomplishments be learned in every school.” In very good condition, with two punch holes to right side, some scattered light irregular toning, bisecting folds and a couple small notations.
