Stage actor considered the finest Hamlet of his day; he was also the brother of Lincoln assassin John Wilkes Booth. ALS, two pages, 4.5 x 7, September 3, 1882. Letter written from Paris to a supporter. In part, “Arrival in Berlin - where my first German engagement will begin…after visiting some dozen…cities I will close at Vienna about the end of March. I will send you papers if they mention my performance.” In fine condition. R&R COA.
