Jones jestfully inscribes to another golfer, hoping his book “won’t harm his game”

Won US and British Opens plus U.S. and British Amateurs in 1930 to become golf's only Grand Slam winner ever; from 1922 - 30, won 4 U.S. Opens, 5 U.S. Amateurs, 3 British Opens, and played in 6 Walker Cups. Jones also founded Masters tournament in 1934. Signed book: Down The Fairway. NY: Minton, Balch & Company, 1927. Hardcover, 6.25 x 8.75, 239 pages. Signed and inscribed in blue ink on the first free end page “To Our good friend, Brian Bell, hoping it won’t harm his game, Robert T. Jones, Jr.,” and also signed by co- author O. B. Keeler.” Missing its dustjacket and with some light wear to covers, a bit heavier to the soiled spine, mild toning to all pages and front cover binding a bit weak and slightly separated, otherwise very good condition.
