Original sepia 4.25 x 6.5 cabinet photo by Eug. Pirou of Paris, showing Cody in profile in a fringed jacket and shirt, signed in fountain pen along the top, “Sincerely yours, W. F. Cody,” and again in the bottom border, over printed photographer’s information, “W. F. Cody, ‘Buffalo Bill.’” In very good condition, with Cody’s writing at top very light but legible, some minor skipping to lower signature, notations on reverse, light soiling to borders, and the image a bit washed out in appearance.
