A grumpy Grover Cleveland responds to a request to write a magazine article: “I feel obliged to say in reply that I am not in the proper mood to undertake the work”

ALS, one page, 5.25 x 6.5, September 2, 1906. Letter to a gentleman. In full, “I have received your letter of Aug. 28th in which you propose that I write an article on Tariff Revision for the Century Magazine. I feel obliged to say in reply that I am not in the proper mood to undertake the work.” In fine condition, with a light bisecting horizontal fold and a bit of trivial toning to left edge. R&R COA.
