Description

Popular child star of the 1940s best known for his roles in Song of the South and Treasure Island and for voicing the role of Peter Pan in Walt Disney’s animated classic (in doing so he became the first male to play Peter Pan; all prior Peters were played by women!). His career faltered while in his teens and Driscoll became a drug addict at seventeen. In 1968 his body was found in an abandoned New York City tenement house and buried in a pauper’s grave. It was not until a full year later that his body was exhumed and identified by the fingerprints at the request of his father. Vintage matte-finish 5 x 7 photo, signed in blue ink. In fine condition, with a few light bends. R&R COA.
