Skorzeny Says “Concerning the 20th July 1944, I was not concerned to round up suspects.”

Knight’s Cross winner famous for rescuing Mussolini. TLS, one page, 8.25 x 11.5, personal letterhead, June 30, 1975, in which Skorzeny refers to the aborted attempt on July 20, 1944 by German military leaders to assassinate Adolf Hitler. In part: “Concerning the 20th July 1944, I came to the Bendlerstrasse at midnight and I was very busy to put all the people, working there, back to work, but I was not concerned to round up suspects.” In fine condition, with scattered areas of faint toning, a small tear in the upper right corner.
