Splendid vintage sepia matte-finish 13 x 9.25 Harris & Ewing portrait of Roosevelt in profile, seated at a desk, signed and inscribed in fountain pen “To Dr. S. Fredrick Jones with my regards, Franklin D. Roosevelt” in the border beneath the image, framed to an overall ize of 14 x 10. Reportedly one of Roosevelt’s favorite photographs of himself as he felt the image made him appear strong. In fine condition, with minor silvering to the lower left corner of the image.
