President Johnson orders the Secretary of State “to affix the Seal of the United States to the envelope of a letter addressed to His Majesty the King of Wurtenburg (to George Bancroft’s credence),” signed at the conclusion in black ink by Johnson. In very good condition, with mounting remnants to reverse of corners, several repairs to separations along folds, light toning to folds, affecting signature and a small tear to top edge.
