TLS as president, one page, 6.5 x 8.5, White House letterhead, June 8, 1965. Letter to U. N. Secretary General U Thant. In part, “I deeply appreciate your thoughtful message on the successful flight of the Gemini-4 space capsule. This accomplishment is another significant stride in our efforts to better mankind through the peaceful exploration of space.” The Gemini IV mission was highlighted by Ed White being the first American to walk in space. Matted and framed with a color photo of Johnson, to an overall size of 15 x 11. In fine condition, with mounting remnants to corners. R&R COA.
