LeRoy and Bayard, New York” and franked in the upper left corner of the address panel “Free Th: Jefferson.” Docketing, in another hand, to right side reads, “Monticello, 21 February 1819, Th: Jefferson.” Nicely double matted and framed with a seated portrait of Jefferson, and two small plaques, to an overall size of 25 x 17. Expeced folds, light toning and soiling, small area of paper loss near top (due to seal) and light postmark barely touching free frank, otherwise fine condition.
