I think I sent you Petit’s bill for I do not find it among my papers. It’s amount was 173 - 8.” Sheet is affixed to a 6.5 x 5.25 light blue lined sheet. Accompanied by an ALS from Charles Francis Adams, dated December 15, 1853, reading “I find no autograph signature of Mr. Jefferson, but the enclosed memorandum is his handwriting, to which you are welcome.” In fine condition, with some light folds to Jefferson’s sheet.
