ALS, one page, 7.5 x 9.5, January 7, 1807. Letter to Nathaniel Blanchard. In full, “I only received your favour of 31 Dec. and have this morning received the dividend of ten dollars and eighty two cents by virtue of the power I had received from you - I enclose herewith a check on the Branch Bank Boston for that sum. The pleasure of having rendered this little service, is amply sufficient for its compensation.” Intergral second page bears remnants of Adam’s hand address and is free franked in the lower left “Free, John Quincy Adams, S. U. S.” In very good condition, with scattered toning and faded portions of text from what appears to be a previous spill, heavy mailing folds and a largely unaffected signature and free frank. R&R COA.
