Description

Lot of twelve items relating to the dropping of the atomic bombs. A glossy 10 x 8 composite photo of the Enola Gay and her crew, signed and inscribed in black felt tip by Paul Tibbets, a glossy 10 x 8 photo of several military officials and weapons officer Fredrick Ashworth, signed in black felt tip by Ashworth, adding his rank and position, a glossy 10 x 8 photo of the Enola Gay crew, signed in felt tip and ballpoint by Thomas Van Kirk, Thomas Ferebee, Paul Tibbets, Richard Nelson, George Caron and Jacob Beser. Also included are four large strategic survey maps of Nagasaki, all approximately 17 x 25, each signed in black felt tip by Fredrick Ashworth and two large U. S. Army bomb damage survey maps of Nagasaki and three different Japanese peso bank notes. In fine condition. R&R COA.
