Letter to his wife, Mamie about her recovery from a case of shingles and about his appeal through the legal system. In part, 'The legal business is progressing slowly. I think I was telling you I was preparing a petition to the circuit court...I had occasion to write a letter to the clerk of the circuit court relating to the matter and I set out my petition and Judge St. Sures letter telling me that it was not entitled to be filed in the clerk's office. Well I got some action at once. The clerk sent my petition back and told me that the only reason it was not filed was because the fee had not been paid. Well, I had arranged for the payment of this fee, but something must have gone haywire.'
