DS as president, one page, 15.5 x 11.5, August 22, 1901. President McKinley appoints Fred Douglas Fisher of Oregon to the post of interpreter to the Consulate of the United States at Nagasaki, Japan. Signed at the conclusion in black ink by McKinley and countersigned by Secretary of State Always Adee. McKinley makes this appointment only two weeks before his assassination. Suede matted and framed to an overall size of 25 x 21 . Overall toning to seal, small scratch along bottom and some scattered mild toning, otherwise fine condition. RRAuction COA. Oversized.
