Description

Secretary to Hitler who guarded his door so strictly that high ranking officials often complained how difficult it was to speak with him. He tried to escape from the Fuhrerbunker on May 1, 1945 and was reportedly killed, although his body was never found, and some believe he escaped to South America. TLS in German, signed 'M. Bormann,' one page, 8.25 x 11.75, Nationalsozialistische Deutsche Arbeiterpartei letterhead, May 21, 1941. Untranslated letter to another party member, signed at the conclusion in fountain pen. In fine condition, with several stamps and notations, light edge wear and punch holes to left edge. RRAuction COA.
