Vellum DS signed by Jefferson as president, 'Th: Jefferson,' and Madison as Secretary of State, entitled 'An Act providing for the sale of the Lands of the United States in the territory north-west of the Ohio and above the mouth of the Kentucky River.' Land grant of a quarter lot issued to Joseph Grise. In good condition, with several storage folds, lightly affecting both signatures, fairly heavy overall wrinkling, handwritten text light but legible, worn but intact seal and some light toning.
