Lindbergh book inscribed to one of the first Americans to greet him at Le Bourget

Signed book: The Spirit Of St. Louis. NY: Charles Scribner's Sons, 1953. Hardcover with dustjacket, 6 x 8.5, 561 pages. Signed and inscribed in fountain pen on the title page 'To Agnes Blackwell Herrick, With deep gratitude and memory of early days, Charles A. Lindbergh, August 1953,' adding 'Publication date is September 14th,' at the bottom of the page. Agnes Herrick was the daughter in law of U. S. Ambassador Myron T. Herrick, both of whom greeted Lindbergh at LeBourget after his historic flight, and even bears a Herrick family bookplate affixed to the inside front cover. In fine condition, with some chipping and creasing to dustjacket, and the spine somewhat loose. RRAuction COA.
