Endorsement, signed 'Bonaparte, on a one page 8 x 12.5 letter from the Minister of War Berthier, dated July 30, 1803, addressed to Bonaparte. Letter is a petition from Berthier to transfer the 8th Dragonerregiment to Beauvais or Chantilly due to the lack of food. Napoleon approves the request, signing on the left side of the letter under 'approve a mouvement.' Matted and framed to an overall size of 14 x 19.
