'I just live in this small town on the coast and write as much as I can.'

Welsh poet who died of alcohol abuse at age 39. Wrote The Map of Love, In Country Sleep, and most memorably Do Not Go Gentle Into That Good Night. ALS, one lined page, 7.5 x 10, May 15, 1939. Letter to an unidentified gentleman. In full, 'Returning your information sheet. Long delay because I couldn't find a photograph or get one taken. Sorry my answers are so unhelpful. I just live in this small town on the coast and write as much as I can. I enclose two photographs; you can use either, they're privately taken.' Matted and framed with a portrait of Thomas, to an overall size of 22 x 17. In fine condition, with a couple trivial spots to top edge. COA John Reznikoff/PSA/DNA and RRAuction COA.
