Original 3.75 x 5 pen and ink sketched portrait of Stefansson on an off-white 6.5 x 9 card from the collection of Dr. Maurice Bloch, a professor at UCLA School of Fine Arts. Over a period of thirty years, Dr. Bloch created a series of pen and ink portraits of the most famous figures of the 20th Century. Each portrait is unique, signed by the subject and initialled by Bloch. The sketch is signed 'Vilhjalmur Stefansson, September 1, 1941' in the wide border below the image and initialled 'B' in the lower right corner of the sketch.
