Description

Secretary to Hitler who guarded his door so strictly that high ranking officials often complained how difficult it was to speak with him. He tried to escape from the Fuhrerbunker on May 1, 1945 and was reportedly killed, although his body was never found, and some believe he escaped to South America. TLS signed 'M. Bormann,' one page, 8.25 x 12, Party letterhead, August 26, 1937. Letter to a fellow party member, taking him to task for exceeding his jurisdiction. In part, 'At various times in the past there have been complaints that you have exceeded your jurisdiction. Therefore, I ask you please to confine your activities exclusively to the members located in the Help Camp North West.' In fine condition, with punch holes to left edge, several official stamps and notations and light folds and wrinkling. RRAuction COA.
