Eddie James "Son" House may have been the most powerful of the Delta Bluesmen. While not as flashy a guitarist as some of his peers such as Bukka White, or as well known proteges (Robert Johnson and Muddy Waters both were schooled by Son), Son's playing had a fierce edge to it.
