Previously known as Reginald Kenneth Dwight, the singer 'renounced, relinquished and abandoned' his former name in 1972. He changed his name to Elton Hercules John. Very rare DS, signed 'Elton Hercules John,' two pages, 8.5 x 11, April 1, 1981. Elton John signs on to an agreement between Geffen Records and Sackville Productions Ltd., concerninglicensing and royalty agreements 'relating, among other things, to rights to phonograph recordings embodying my performaces.'
